Bharat Bhushan is back – complete with his singing aspirations and his quirks. Actor Vinay Pathak, who plays the lead character of Bharat Bhushan, returns with a sequel to the 2007 hit film “Bheja Fry” (Brain Fry), in which he wins himself a free trip on a luxury cruise after winning a TV game show.
But this time, in “Bheja Fry 2,” Mr. Bhushan doesn’t have Ranjeet Thadani, who in the 2007 film was played by actor Rajat Kapoor, for company.
Instead, business tycoon Ajit Talwar, played by actor Kay Kay Menon, joins him on the cruise. Eventually, they both end up stranded on a deserted island.
But going by the reviews, the sequel doesn’t seem to be as appealing as the earlier film. Critics’ ratings for the film were diverse – ranging between one-and-a-half to three out of five stars. However, most agreed that the sequel to the first edition of the film was likely to leave audiences disappointed.
