1. After leaving his homeland Merida Yucatan, in Mexico. Diegodiego and his family survived by selling donuts and coffee in front of the Mexican consulate in the city of Santa Ana, CA. After waking up very early every morning and helping his family. Diegodiego attended school. Later in the afternoon the artist and his father would sell tamales door to door. This was how the Sobrino family got ahead in the United States. After that, everyone reached their own individual goals. But Diegodiego was the only one who decided to do something different with his life and achieve global fame.
2. Diegodiego lived more than twenty years of verbal, physical and emotional abuse by his parents.
While Diegodiego grew with his family. the world's most famous entertainer lived moments of terror with a family full of emotional insecurities. According to Diegodiego this disorder took him to the verge of wanting to commit suicide. "My mom has a terrible temper, I love her with all my heart but her beatings and punishments were often very unfair. What hurt me the most were words such as "you worth nothing " "You think you're more beautiful than you are" and obscene words like "the older you get the more stupid you become" til the day that with all the pain of my heart I replied. Mama I said , remeber you are older than me! "
After years of therapy and even being hospitalized in a psychiatric clinic. Diegodiego can't bear to see his reflection in mirrors. Even when this he is in the makeup chair. before filming any project, Diegodiego requests to the makeup artist to turn his chair away from all mirrors.
3. The first television program for which Diegodiego was hired, was canceled two hours before starting to shoot and never aired. This did not stop the artist who has continued on with all his strength and has dedicated his whole soul to God and his fans.
4. His first musical production on cassette and CD was called "SPECTRAL" a production that included songs recorded entirely Acapela. One of them is which now a number one hit song "My Blue Castle" but was not recorded untill his second musical production "Haciendo Escandalo"
5. Diegodiego loves to steal laughter from all his friends and fans. this is according to the star his greatest joy. Diegodiego is know for his unique sense of humor.
