Sword of Truth: Temple of the Winds

I've already done Fantasy Casts for the first three books in the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind: Wizard's First Rule, Stone of Tears and Blood of the Fold. In each book we meet fewer new characters, and in this turn, we actually only see four new characters.

First up, is Drefan, Richard Rahl's half brother. He's ungifted bastard son of Darken Rahl and as such was abandoned to the Raug'Moss, a tribe of healers. He's pretty close to Richard's age, so he needs to be in his late twenties-ish, and since he's built like a Rahl, he needs to be pretty big. Or at least be able to get pretty big. Cruising around the interwebs, I find this guy, Taylor Kitsch. I think he's the guy. You think he can play psycho? I do.

Next, we have Nadine, an old childhood friend of Richard's who has come to Aydindril from Hartland in an attempt to get him to marry her. She is young, younger than Richard and fairly naive. We find out in her backstory that she believes that she is in control of men around her, when really they are using her instead. There is just something about Rose Byrne that fits in with this role.

Clarissa is a minor character, and only around for this book. Another Sister of the Light, a pretty naive one, but a Sister nonetheless. I like this girl, Olivia Hack.

And last, the Sliph. I know she isn't a corporeal character, but her face is shaped in the silvery substance and her voice is extremely important. Not only does she talk to Richard often, but her voice is seductive, sultry and comforting. And, since she is from another time, her voice can be different, have an accent perhaps? Kate Beckinsale! Here, listen to her voice, and look at her loveliness:
